    1. Israel control's this land as a response to the aggressive behavior of its previous sovereign, Jordan, who had as much right to be there as Israel by any objective measure. 2. Israel does not decide FOR said state. Those current boundaries have been decided by Israel and the PA around the negotiating table. The same table the Palestinians have been weaseling away despite of unprecedented gestures on the side of Israeli government. The PA's entire right of existence is essentially given by an act of the Knesset (ratification of Oslo accords). Any unilateral action will eliminate their entire raison d'etre. 3. Israel has removed population and destroyed settlements in the past. It happened once in the Sinai and second time in Gaza and northern Samaria. Israel has also unilaterally withdrew from Lebanon. So Israel has shown multiple times in the past that withdrawal, both strategic and of population can be done for the right purposes. The problem is that our experience with the Palestinians is pretty grim. Did you ever check PA state media? Can you honestly even pretend they want peace?
