Mr. Elhaik says that since Ashkenazi Jews cluster between Georgians, Armenians and Druze in some of the analyses, then they must descend from the Khazars. Yet the link of Georgians, Armenians and especially the Druze with the Khazar kingdom is highly questionable, as the Druze are believed to have Arab or perhaps Persian origin rather than a Turkish one, and even in his analysis the Druze don't seem to originate from the territory of the old Khazar kingdom in the Caucasus but from southern Turkey (under the control of the Byzantine Empire during the height of the Khazar era) or northern Syria (under control of the Caliphate). Likewise, Armenians have historically been linked with the Iranians rather than the Khazars.
