This is completely off topic but I have a question that I thought I might ask on this thread because many people are Israeli. I just finished college early and have extra time and have always been fascinated by Jewish people and history. I really admire them. That is why I wanted to visit Israel for tourism. 1.) However, I hear from my friends that Israel is a racist country. Now, I don't mean to offend anyone but is that true? I am an American of Indian descent. Therefore I am Aryan, not Arab but our skin complexions are similar. I speak neither Semitic language (Hebrew or Arabic) and have nothing to do with either Islam or Judaism. I am completely unrelated to the entire Arab-Israeli conflict but I don't want to visit Israel if people will treat me differently or if there is danger. I would be traveling alone and of course I would stay around major cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. 2.) Because Arab and Aryan looks similar (...to people who are not Arab or Aryan) would I get an unnecessarily personal greeting from Israeli airport security? As an American, I am not used to tight security. Thanks, Amit

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
