'A family is a father, mother and children, and not two fathers and a child,' said Avi Wurtzman during his previous Knesset stint. While doing nothing to advance socioeconomic issues, he did initiate a 23 million shekel project for daily study of Torah.09:29 01.12.15 | 1 comments
Howdy ODP; Who said anything about civilians or holding empires? I was talking about battlefields. It is pointless to make short-lived military incursions which seize enemy positions (which could be a hill, a valley, a town, a road, a forest, etc.) from an armed hostile force, abandon that position a few days later, allow the enemy to reoccupy it, and have to do the same thing all over again a few months later taking the same ground with same casualties. An example would be the northern third of the Gaza Strip. The IDF has made several incursions into that area in order to stop Qassam rocket fire in the past 17 mo. and always leaves after a few days and the enemy returns and continues the rocket fire so that everything starts all over again. No! The IDF needs to hold that ground to prevent the Palestinian militants/terrorists from reentering it until the PA agrees to stop the rocket fire. Clear?
