It seems like a pretty obvious solution to me; if you feel people shouldn't shop on any particular day - don't shop on that day. Leave everyone else free to shop or not shop as they see fit. If you would rather people in other countries not impose their religious preferences on you, don't impose your preferences on them in your country.
