Although the President's poll numbers are down, Congress's are so low the are in the minus. He has made bold policy decisions and that's never easy. I and many other Jewish voters support his position on restarting peace negotiations in the Middle East but for most it is not their top concern. Congress is a mess no matter how you look at it. The democrats are in chaos and the republicans have no idea what to say about anything except "no". They will grasp at any available straw because they are so completely desperate. Obama might have less democrats in Congress after the November elections but I am not convinced it will make much difference on any issue including the ME. Bottom line, it is up to Israel and the Palestinians to decide their own fate. Even Clinton who devoted himself full time could not seal a deal...
