If you can't beat them, join them. This should be Obama's personal motto. Peace is a difficult proposition for the Palestinians because they provide very little threat to the Israelis and the Israelis profit by avoiding peace. This means that any peace left up to "the two parties" will be no peace at all. The Palestinians alone cannot force a west bank withdrawal. Now that America has officially weighed in with settlement support, the idea of peace is even farther away, but it was already so far away that America's actions don't matter. Even if America stopped all support for Israel and changed over to support the Palestinians 100%, it would still be virtually impossible to force Israel into peace. Perhaps this helped Obama and America decide to throw the Palestinians under the bus, and, like the Israelis, ignore their plight and just continue to crowd them out. Obama is a contemptable man, an incompetent leader, and a dishonest politician. He should be thrown into history's dustbin as quickly as possible. It would not be so bad if he were not such an utter weakling.
