Since the United States, the West generally, Russia, and China have policies of "engagement" with Iran--whether because from trepidation of confronting a hostile Iran or from a rationale that the hostility is directed to others (Russia, China, western industrial interests do not fear burgeoning commercial ties, including nuclear)--it is not surprising that even wary Sunni powers are seeking to realign. The linear dynamic of concessions extorted from Israel leading to greater engagement with Arab moderates leading to neutralization of Iran hegemony has always been something of a pseudo-sophisticated crock masking innate suspicions and distaste for Jewish power generally and naive idealisms and anti-establishmentarian embrace of the mythically magical superior Other paradoxically regnant in the Western cultural Establishment after the new-left, Marxist and post-Marxist intellectual ferment of the 60's.
