He will turn out to be the best president ever for Israel. Israelis pay attention to this. They always wonder, "who will be the best president for Israel?". The answer is, it doesn't matter. They are all good! Still Obama stands out from the crowd by going that extra mile. He will likely never be surpassed in this regard, unless Eric Cantor gets elected president. So, how is this ironic, you ask? Israelis hate Obama. Probalby Jimmy Carter is the only president they hate worse. No matter what goodies Obama offers, Israelis will take them and spit in his face. Maybe Obama is trying to line up a second career in the mideast ala Tony Blair. If so, he should forget it since, in the process of trying to make Israelis happy and getting hate instead, he has justifiably earned the hate of the Palestinians and many other Arabs as well.

How I learned to fall in love with sanctions

Sanctions did not devastate South Africa or Iran. Nor will they destroy Israel; above all it will extricate Israel from a trap it is unable to get out of by itself.
