It looks like Netanyahu's policies have once again put Obama in an awkward position. Israeli intransigence in the peace process will ultimately alienate more and more American Jews to forsake Israel's cause. This next budget cutting round may also take a slice out of Israeli aid. Is this any way to treat a friend Israel? And just think of the man who Israel calls its Foreign Minister, an outright racist. Even we American Zionists are getting fed up with the crazy politics of Likud. If you think the Palestinians are their own worst enemy, what about the Israelis?? Support will remain only with the ultra-Orthodox and the Evangelicals. Maybe we American Jews will finally figure out that AIPAC does little but rubber stamp Israeli government policy. Is occupation of the West Bank really worth all this? Maybe the Evangelical Christians are right, if you protect the Holy Land against the infidels, all Jews will become Christians. Strange bedfellows indeed!
