The NUJ boycott is likely to be shortlived. I doubt that 40000 members will toe a party line set by a majority of 12(!)at the recent vote. One must also take into account the internal politics of the NUJ, led by a far-left neo-Marxist secretary-general who has links with extreme left-wing parties such as the Socialist Alliance and Respect, known pro-Palestinian sympathizers. I expect the majority of UK journalists to ignore the resolution while those who care about image will take steps to get the resolution rescinded. At any rate, Israelis need do nothing.
