I find Rabin's strategic vision of the 10-year window to clinch a peace deal with Israel's neighbour before nuclearization is achieved by them certainly farsighted. That the nuclearization is not achieved now means that the window of opportunity for peace-making is still there, but getting narrower. It points to the only way left for Israel to move forward if she chooses to maintain her existence - pursuing peace through diplomacy and not through violence and destruction, for the prospect of total destruction will certainly come to Israel when nuclear war breaks out in the ME in the not too distant future. For a small land mass such as Israel, she cannot afford to enter into such a war, since even fighting guerillas armed with rockets had proven indecisive.
