The whole argument that mutual capability to destroy is the reason that we have not had a global atomic war so far is no proof that the deterent theory will continue to protect us. Only by global disarmament and resolution of causes behind the world conflicts can we be assured of maintaining and improving global security and peace. The contradiction of focusing attention only on Iran and not on the other nuclear players in the region is nothing but hypocritical. Arab nations and others correctly point out the bias in calling for sanctions against Iran and leaving Israel and the United States untouched. What's good for the goose should be good for the gander. Its time we called for objectivity and fairness in order to really solve issues of world security and not play games with people's lives for the narrow interests of political power brokers.
