The Israeli soldier who murdered Iman Darweesh in cold blood by emptying his weapon's clip into her tiny body at point blank range? At least THIS guy was convicted and has been in prison for the last 13 years. No promotion and back pay for him, and no reimbursement of legal costs by the military. I'm not in the least bit sympathetic to this murderer, nor do I believe his sentence should be reduced. But what I DO believe is that Israel and Israelis have absolutely NO room to criticize when in fact it's soldiers have killed thousands of children - many under circumstances that clearly indicate complete disregard for their victims, and often even cold blooded murder. And until the day that Israelis discover their moral conscience and start to demand that the IDF hold its soldiers responsible for their actions in an honest and transparent manner, instead of justifying it with closed eyes; then THEY and Israel have absolutely no moral ground to question what's happening here no matter WHAT its outcome!
