While Ze'evi did advocate creation of Palestinian state, it was to be neither independent nor tailored to Palestinian desires. This is reflected in the very fact that Palestinians wouldn't be able to choose even the name of their future state. What this state was supposed to be is a de facto vassal of Israel, a puppet state akin to those created by Soviet Union and Germany during the WWII era. Nothing makes this more abundantly clear than the so called "rewards and punishment system". Incitement to collaboration, using ones personal ambitions against his own people etc. Awfully familiar to anyone who knows anything about history. I have to admit that I was disgusted while reading this. This text looks like it belongs right in that anti-semitic rubbish " The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion", except that, after reading this article, it might not be such a rubbish afterall. One thing that IDF should be commended for is their ability to anticipate just how damaging the occupation will be for Israel. It seems that IDF of the time had far more capable individuals than any Israeli government.
