Pollard was not convicted of treason. He was charged with and pleaded guilty to espionage, with an agreement for a stiff but not life sentence. The fiend Weinberger then talks the judge into a life sentence. You're right-- Pollard was spying for a friend, and nothing he did endangered lives of our spies abroad. I hope Weinberger is now burning in hell.
