The Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant near Qom is covered in the Feb. IAEA Report. The plans show that it is to eventually contain 16 cascades with a total of around 3,000 centrifuges to produce less than 5% enriched fuel. The plant is to initially have only IR-1 centrifuges the plant is under construction with some piping and coolers in place but no centrifuges. as of 16 February. The site apparently was originally intended to store missiles when construction was suspended. The decision to turn it into a second small fuel enrichment plant was made in the second half of 2007 according to Iran though some other sources say design work may haves started in late 2006.
