Josephine - you really do yourself no favours by attacking the man and not his argument. That sort of personal attack/slander/personal abuse in civilised debate went out with the decline of crackpot political orators. Regarding the substance of whether AB Yehoshuah was right or not to broach his views - of course he was. He has nothing to apologise for. If it stimulates debate and discussion in the US community, then all the better. Even if people disagree with his views, it will cause them to think, examine and take a long hard look at Judaism and Jewish life in the States and its future.
