Oslo was a failure because the Arabs and the Left demanded Israel do everything before the ARabs do anything. Abbas, the "moderate", demands Israel go to Road Map Phase III without the Palestinians doing one thing in Phase I. The Saudi initiative, the Prisoners' Document and other Arab proposals all demand Israel do many things and then, just maybe, the Arabs would consider doing anything. That's consistently failed. Israel's accommodations have always been met with more violence. It's time the Arabs get to see their own policy from the other end. If they wish to have the response end, they need to do something first. However, Eldar and Haaretz will keep their double standard, excoriating Israel for doing what they support Arabs for doing.
