Except it's not a good example of protest. This site served Haredi Jews. Many of the people using this site are likely living in America--they targeted this site because it was Jewish, not Israeli. They didn't even target groups (National Religious Israelis, IDF, Israeli government) whom they see as most responsible for their situation. They just targeted Jews. If someone were to hack into a Palestinian dating or cultural site to put up the message "Stop shooting rockets at us", implying that all Palestinians are responsible for what merely a few do, and want to change the URL, would that be acceptable? Of course not, it would be bigotry. How is this any different?
