The issue for Iran is to build a nuclear bomb that they can mount on a long range missile. They already have a nuclear bomb that is too heavy. It was made by Pakistan. In any case producing a bomb does not mean they could use it or would dare to use it if they could because should they do so would be the complete end of Iran. Hence, it is not totally clear what is their objective. There are two options for the US and Israel. 1) destroy their economy so they have other far more pressing problems. Oil production is their Achilles heel representing more than 40% of their GDP. That can be blockaded or destroyed. 2) Make a demonstration of a small thermonuclear nuclear missile into a remote, uninhabited part of Iran. In any case the PalArabs are dragging their heels believing that when Iran gets the Bomb they will have more negotiating strength. Dumb Arabs! They will only get us angry and more determined. What has a nuclear bomb done for North Korea?
