I think it depends on who replaces Khaled Mashaal. Hes taken Hamas in new directions over the last couple of years, more towards diplomacy than militarism. I think Hamas PM Ismail Haniyeh is being promoted as a possible replacement. Unlike Khaled Mashaal Mr Haniyeh was in Gaza during Cast Lead and hes lived through the blockades and airstrikes, so he maybe more hardline than Khaled Mashaal. Thats just my opinion.
