Really people get a tighter hold on reality! Israel is not dependent on the USA. The Israel lobby does not control the US congress. Most of the support comes from a) Christian faith that Jewish people are the rightful residence of the land or B) the realistic view that Israel is the only stable democracy in the region. Muslims can serve in politics, courts and the army. Name one other Middle East democracy that offers the same freedoms to all religions? The US budget this year is over 1 trillion. Less than a billion is not going to affect the economy. Lastly, the 3 billion in aid is an old agreement whereby Israel exited specific areas of lucrative arms production and sales like selling fighter aircraft and automatic riffles. The Israeli economy and security would be better off if they still sold aircraft and guns, which incidentally would fetch a lot more than 3 billion dollars a year!!!
