Theological speculation should not be divorced from what is known from other sources of knowledge such as the evidence provided by evolution. Genesis is not in sync with the facts of evolution. If God created man, he first created life, going about doing so via the process of evolution beginning with the Big Bang, a process still in the works. More likely, God brought into being creative energy which is a reflection of God's essence, and this energy is also the source of life energy which is a factor in evolution leading to the human form. It is likely that there are many kinds of energy. Matter is congealed energy and can be viewed as an obstacle which life (Bergson's Elan Vital) struggles to overcome. According to Christian theology, God’s essence is reflected in the complementarity of personas or actions: Creating-Accumulating-Exchanging; what Christians refer to as Father-Son-Holy Spirit.
