The article says "He's asking us to protect him in September, but he isn't giving us any tools with which to help him," ... "Instead of helping us, he's making it harder for us." The author doesn't understand that this is precisely the objective. US veto guaranteed no matter what. Why pretend to negotiate? US arms sales guaranteed no matter what. Customs free exports to Europe no matter what. Show who is in charge. Bibi thinks he can tough it out one or two more times, the US and the EU will tire, and then the pressure will be lifted permanently. No consequences. The world will finally accept that Israel is a hopeless case, and for Israel, life will continue normally, without "pressure" and pretend negotiations. US presidential and State Department incompetence give Israel total victory, and the world will stand by and watch.
