The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
Right now Hamas, Islamic Jihad, et al, are playing the silent partners in the discussions so Abbas can look more respectable and presentable in his suit and tie before the UN and the negotiating parties. If Fatah was actually able to eventually succeed in gaining a Palestinian State in the West Bank Abbas' white shirt would not remain so for long as it would be quickly streaked with his own blood and that of his constituents at the hand of Hamas and the other Palestinian thugs as they jostled for power. Israel will naturally be very cognizant of the whole picture while negotiating though Abbas will do his best to present Bibi as the intransigent one.
