Anymore than sticking our nose into the canonisation of Edith Stein was. We really need to know how to pick our battles. This is not a Jewish concern. It should be pointed out that historically when the Dutch Catholic bishops required a pastoral letter to be read from all church pulpits condeming Nazi deportations of Jews and that Catholics could not have anything to do with the process, the Nazis retaliated by roudining up all Catholics of Jewish origin and deporting them. The moral voice was spoken and it resulted not in the saving of Jews but more death and suffering.
