The wars of 56, 67 and 73 were fought against armies and nations. They were, arguably, wars for Israel's very existance. Neither Hezbollah or Hamas are existential threats to Israel. They are guerilla militias. It is very difficult for any army to declare a clear victory vs. a guerilla force. The IDF is still more than capable of defending Israel vs. existential threats from its enemies. In this sense it is probably much stronger than it was in 1967.
