the new kid will be only a figure head. the real power will remain vested in the military whose sole aim is to retain its absolute power. north korea will continue to sell iran nuclear and ballistic missile technology for hard cash which north korea desparately needs. only strong intervention by china could change this equation. it is unlikely that china would change its policies in north korea. north korea is a buffer between china and japan and china and south korea. north korea is a very useful proxy for chinese proliferation against the united states and western allies. as long as china sees the us as an adversary, nothing much will change. a people's revolution is the only possible road to change.
