Everyone already knows it will happen. Israel will not "occupy" Lebanon, it will simply fail to be "done" yet, for weeks, months, years... In much the same way that the U.S. is not "occupying" Iraq just now, nor is it losing, it is just "staying the course" in an ongoing operation that is always scheduled to be over in just a few short weeks... Let's be honest. The U.S. cannot withdraw from Iraq right now--or ever--because to do so is to admit defeat. The same can be said for Israel now in Lebanon (again), having fallen into the most obvious of traps. So instead, both of these allies in misadventure will languish in guerilla battlezones declaring perpetual "victory any moment now" and denying that they are in any way an occupation force or in danger of ever losing.
