This article is utter nonsense. Most people in the world have a negative opinion of Israel because of what it does and how it conducts itself. For a long time, It has been evident to anyone with eyes that a major preoccupation of the right wing in Israel is to hold onto and continue building on occupied land. As a result, much of the anger and despair that Israel inspires in the Palestinians, and then the misery to which it subjects the Palestinians as it struggles to control and break them, is avoidable. In short, Israel is choosing to abuse another people for the sake of religious and natioanlist goals and because it has no respect or regard for the people it must destroy to accomplish those goals. The right in Israel long ago delegitimized the Pals in its eyes. Oddly, however, the Pal cause has gained in legitimacy and support the worse and worse Israel has abused these people. In saying all of this, I fully acknowledge that the Pal leadership has often failed its own people. I am no supporter of Hamas. But Hamas is a reaction to what Israel has done and to the failures of the PLO. In the end, most people who oppose Israel are not anti-Semitic, or raised with a hatred of Jews. Most are reasonable people who care about the weak and abused and who refuse to be silent in the face of the most powerful state in the ME - with the past support of much of the Western world - using its power to subjugate another people. If Mr. Harel can't understand that, then it is a measure of the extent to which he has blinded himself to reality.

You love Israel and hate occupation. What do you do?

There's a certain freedom in a time of extremism and obsession and chaos. Freedom to chart a new course. Freedom to love Israel. Freedom to help undo what it's done in your name.

How Isaiah gave Hebrew its word for vagina

If St Jerome and other experts are right, Israelis may have thought that 'pot' meant vulva, but actually they were saying cup. Or forehead. Or maybe something else.
