Change the names from Israel to Hamas and Hamas to Israel and you have the thinking in Gaza political circles. Israel upped the ante with the assassination a week or so ago. The Hamas tried to deter further action by reminding Israel that they still could shoot back. So Israel upped the ante again shelling and killing civilians, including kids, followed by the regret platitude that rings as hollow as it did for the last decade. Israeli politicians always regret the inconvenience, but never consider that they use the same philosophic thinking as Hamas uses. Has Israel deployed an anti-rocket defense - not yet though it has been in the warehouse for a decade. Israeli politicians prefer "deterrence" which does not work. The same is true of Hamas; they just have limited technology and cannot build even bomb shelters for their civilians. The concept is bankrupt. After 60 years, somebody should have caught on.
