The popular mouvement is right to pick up the question by the other end and to talk about the society Israelis DO want to live in and what needs to be done to achieve this goal. One recurrent obstacle has been identified already: immense parts of public spending go to settlements and infrastructure that are needed to "secure" those, that is where the money goes that is missing for Israelis who live in Israel. So, as a matter of fact, occupation is one of several subtexts to the uprising for social justice, another one being that in Israel social justice can only be obtained if it is availabe for ALL Israelis, jewish, not jewish.
