I see the point of most pro Israeli arguments against the convergence. But for the very same reasons I agree with the article (not every sentence, but the main idea). And the main idea is as follow: We know that there is no one to talk to on the other side, so any talks in that direction are useless. We know what the ultimate goals of the Arab world and Pals in particular are. Even the attempts of Hamas for tactical ?moderation? as long as they can safely insist on absolutely undoable, are not going to fool anyone. We know that the ?resistance? showdown is coming sooner or later no matter what conditions or where the borders are. People should not be looking at the convergence plan as the uprootment of Israelis or gift for terror, but accept it as military and political strengthening of Israel, specifically with the showdown in mind. The convergence plan can not be interim, there is nothing that can or should be behind it.
