And that is not an Israel that I, as a Jew, can be proud of. By saying there is no room for Palestine, Bennett is essentially advocating one of two options: (1) perpetuating a situation in which Israel rules over a population in the West Bank that does no enjoy citizenship or rights in Israel, or (2) granting West Bank Palestinians citizenship and rights in Israel, but ensuring that the eventual Palestinian majority is sufficiently disenfranchised so as to prevent it from exercising its democratic right to change the character of the state. Bennett's ideas are immoral and dangerous. Either way, meaningful democracy is out the window - or to barrow from the colloquial, has gone to Gaza.
