The comment from Castro, (whether sincere or not) was a move in the right direction and a slap to Iran and Chavez in Venezuela. The fact that some minor congresswoman was prodded by her cuban voters to seek an apology should have been ignored. Your PM had a right to comment, she had no right to demand an apology- it wasn't an endorsement of the Castro regime. She was only motivated by the fear of losing votes. He should have just released a statement to the Cuban-americans clarifying his statement and support for a democratic Cuba-not an apology to a minor politician pandering for votes.
