Though Jerusalem rarely voices its opinion on the raging Syrian war, Israel secretly prefers war of attrition between the Assad's regime and its enemies.18:23 08.02.16 | 0 comments
You can't be serious to expect Israel to make territorial concessions in Lebanon (Shaba Farms)as a condition of any proposed cease-fire. This is antithetical to a war of deterrence and would squander all the sacrifices made by the IDF and northern citizens to date. Oh sure, Shaba Farms can be returned at some point in the distance future when the Lebanese state controls the south or, at the very least, as an inducement for Lebanon to control the south. If Hezbollah does not make the first concession -return the soldiers and agree to abide by the sovereign will of the Lebanese state -- Israel's signature on a ceasefire would put here in a worse position than its pre-war deterrent status.
