Herbert the incident of the St Louis was appalling but don't forget that the world was told for years that the nazis were murdering Jews and others in gas chambers and all sat by and did nothing. For decades Israel has been supported solely because of guilt for that - Australia included. However, the arabs didn't commit the holocaust. What the world is now complaining bitterly about is the murder and persecution of Palestinians and Lebanese people, the stealing of land, illegal settlements and so on. In an increasingly mobile and secular world there is simply no basis for the paranoia involved in maintaining a solely Jewish state when 61% of the world's Jews live somewhere else where they are in no danger. If Israel was fair dinkum about revenge they would attack Germany - now that would be right and meet. Instead Israel pretends she is under attack from children and slaughters them
