The words "milk" or "cheese" do not appear even once in the book of Judith. Holofernes was simply drunk (of wine). The tradition of cheese, as well as connecting Judith to the Maccabees, is a much later "harmonic" tradition. The cheese element is borrowed from a similar Biblical narrative, of Yael and Sisera.
