While the author is correct in stating that "there is more that separates the Arabs of Palestine from the Arabs of Morocco, Egypt or Iraq than unites them", he failed to note that so-called "Palestinians" on the Israeli-Occupied West Bank are indistinguishable from "Palestinians" on the Jordanian-Occupied East Bank. In culture, dialect, history, religion, diet, dress, etc., they are identical! By contrast, there is much, much more in each of these metrics that separates New Englanders, Texans, New Yorkers, Californians and Mid-Westerners (and don't even think of Alaskans and Hawaiians), but no one would dare to suggest that they are separate nations! Jordan *IS* Palestine - and always has been!
