So here we have Peres attempting to act the statesman. What he, like all other Israeli leaders avoids, is making the case as to why Iran, under NPT membership poses such a threat to the world at large. Israel as a non-NPT aligned belligerent state with a probable arsenal of 100's of high end nuclear weapons as well as a record of aggression against neighbors and foreign agencies world wide, sounds most hypocritical calling other nations out with emotive tags such as 'axis of evil'. I'm almost certain a democratic poll of the world might show the real axis of evil is the US-Israel-UK based on the sheer volume of body-bags filled with monotonous regularity each year. Making such pronouncements from illegally annexed Jerusalem to a crowd containing war criminals by any 'Nuremberg Laws test' just adds salt to the wound.
