it has always struck me that persians and jews are natural allies and brothers. persia had a jewish queen who was given her own city so she could rescue other jews. and even today, persian jews so belong there and are such intrinsic part of the culture. iran is the natural home of jews, maybe more so than israel for secular jews. in certain cities, jewish influence is more prominent than muslim. if israel had wise leaders, they'd start from that old bond, and build on it instead of being divisive and aggressive. regimes come and go and can be hurried along, but the long history of brotherhood is forever. persians don't forget or forgive attacks and invasions. that's why they have animosity toward arabs, and it'd be a huge mistake for israel to do the same.
