    history pretty much shows that in the theater of national struggle the resort to wishful thinking is best left to the conjectural confines of editorial rooms. it would be hard to purposefully conjure a more dangerous course for israel than the one beilin posits as a solution for its problems. that negotiating from a position of weakness usually results in a double defeat, is pretty much accepted. not being satisfied with denial of this truth, to demonstrate that they are not bound in the least by the dictates of reality, beilin and his traveling sideshow have for the past fifteen years been trying to promote a breathtakingly spectacular advance in denial - 'negotiate away your strength' - with each successive reality check to the contrary serving as nothing more than an appetizer for the next round of capitulation. we've had the seven course meal. what's for dessert? is it nuclear?
