I wonder how he sleeps at night having turned 20% of his fellow Israeli citizens into "guests" of the "Jewish State." The Arab Israelis, even as prominent Likudniks have recently admitted, are an oppressed, largely disenfranchised population. I say let's deal with a reality: Israel is not only a Jewish state but a state of all its citizens, especially the Arabs. Where's the creative brilliance that was once a hallmark of Israel's founders. It's time to create a constitution, and if a confederation is a more natural, more organic framework for the interaction of Jews and Arab Israelis--then figure it out and do it. Until then, calling Israel a Jewish state is a lot of crap.
