Spot on! Israel particularly under this Government deals with each crisis as it arises. It does not see that the space between crises is an opportunity to do somethng positive, too! In past wars the military Leaders knew how to 'break out' and seize the initiative to achieve some gains. (Sharon did it in 1973 for instance). What initiative do the Politicians show on the diplomatic front? None! They just sit tight between crises instead of trying to take advantage of the lull to change the game! What about smothering the world and the Palestinian issue with strong positive initiatives!?! Now that would be good for Israel's image! Isn't that what Bibi should be looking to do? If it achieved nothing at worst such an initiative would show that it is not just the Israeli Government who is an obstruction to progress!
