Because it doesn't really matter whether other nations believe it has to come through negotiations or not, there's no question that international consensus IS that there WILL be a Palestinian state, and the consensus IS that the 1967 border will be the basis of that state. There's not a damn thing that Netanyahu or anyone else can do that will change that international consensus...and it's NOT going to go away over time or when Obama is out of office, it's only going to grow more imperative to the international community - which means that the longer Israel delays, hedges, and forestalls while it continues its encroachment, the less concerned the world is going to be with its interests when - and it WILL - the international community asserts its will on the state of Israel. And this coalition will only make it that much easier when the time comes.
