Matters of survival, one way or another, find their way to fruition even when the Prime Minister of Israel is opposed not by principle, but by his own egoistic calculations. There will be intelligent life In Israel after Netanyahu, as long as the Iranian threat is dealt with, not procastinated indefinitely. Iran threats Israel nowadays not even just with genocidal terminology, but with a date: 2014. Hitler threatened the Jews with extermination too, and people didn't believe him. The PM is not the rock in Israel's shoe, but the person in charge to coordinate a sound leadership for the times when the nation is at risk. His personal inclinations, biographical or otherwise, when the hour of truth comes, are overrun by the NEED. And the need is here, explicit and tangible. There may be many ways to deal with Iran, or at least some. One has to be chosen, and walked through. None isn't terribly dangerous. But the most dangerous of them is hiding, not confronting reality, not preparing Israel for what's in store for her.
