Netanyahu is simply the last of a long line of settlement expansionists that has brought Israel to this sad point in time where the world now designates it the second pariah apartheid state. I was very much a fan of Israel back in '67 when I mistakenly believed that sound and fair governance by a democracy would bring all the inhabitants together into a prosperous economy with opportunity and dignity for all. Instead of sound and fair governance, we got settlement expansion and expropriation that squeezed the Pals into an ever smaller corner. My only wonder is that the settlement movement's propaganda machine manipulated world opinion as long as it did -- mind you it still reigns supreme in North America to the point that AIPAC owns Congress. Contrast the several standing ovations Netanyahu received from his obedient acolytes in Congress to the delegates sitting on their hands in the GA.
