Doron Rosenblum has hit the nail on the head regarding Netanyahu and his mentors on the US right wing. But it is a pity that the tent protestors do not explicitly link the neglect of ordinary Israelis to the coddling of the settlers,ie: the outlay on settlement building in housing construction, infrastructure (roads etc) and tax rebates, and the diversion of army units to protect them. The mass of the protestors do not have to take a militant stand against the occupation (which probably they would not do in any case) to make this elementary connection between their situation and that of the settlers,a good reason for another upheaval like that of 1977. If the orthodox right wing have not so far joined the protestors, it is surely because it would render their support of the settlers invalid.
