Neil, you sound like you just copied your words from a sheet of talking points on the Hamas web site. No metion of the Palestinian and broader Aaab rejection of the Partition Plan in 1947 and the civil war they started in Palestine, attacking Jewish civilians, overunning Jewish villages in outlying areas (ethnically cleansing the Jews to use your term). You mention Dei Yaseen, but fail to mention the Palestinian massacres of Jews on Mt. Scopus (80 doctors, nurses and patients in a clearly makred medical convoy), the Haifa oil refinery massacre (44 Jews massacred by their Palestinian co-workers), the Ben Yehuda massacre of 55 Jews when a truck bomb was detonated... I could go on, but I am not certain you would acknowledge these Palestinian crimes, all of which occured BEFORE May 15, 1948. You fail to mention the thousands of Arab volunteers that poured into Palestine from around the region, with jihad on their mind and arms to carry it out. These volunteers were organized by various Arab states, and they carried out attacks on Jewish civilian targets, all BEFORE May 15, 1948. You say nothing of the widespread support among Palestinians and Arabs in general for Nazi Germany, nor do you mention that the Palestinian leader of that era, Haj Muhammad Amin al Husseini, was very close to the top Nazi leadership, lived in Berlin during WWII, and organized a Bosnian Muslim SS division that massacred Serbs and Jews in Yugoslavia. You fail to mention the wholesale ethnic cleansing of about 800,000 Middle Eastern Jews by Arab governments. You are not interest, it seems, in hearing or acknowledging the other side of this tragedy, that people such as yourself against Israel only perpetuate with hate-filled propaganda.

Road to civil marriage runs through same-sex divorce

In Israel, even Jewish couples who were married outside of the country can only be granted a divorce by the Rabbinate. Thus, same-sex couples who wish to separate find themselves in a legal lacuna.

Ashkenazi and Barak.

Why Barak regrets speaking out on Iran

There was no security breach in what the former defense minister said about how an attack was thwarted; what has suffered is mainly Israel’s image.

How the bagel went from shtetls to haute cuisine

A visit to the world's bagel capital is a chance to marvel at how this unassuming Jewish-Ashkenazi food has come from its 17th-century beginnings.
